  MASON MOUNT is getting ready  to join Chelsea's pre-season campaign  and has already started training during  his holiday. Mount is enjoying some much-deserved  time off in the Greek island of Mykonos  after a stunning Euro 2020 campaign  that saw England make it to the final. But the 22-year-old decided to catch  up on some fitness as he is set for  another challenging campaign with the  Blues. Mount was filmed training on his  own and running up a steep hill ahead  of his reunion with Chelsea team-mates. A spokesperson said: "With the cancellation   of last night's friendly game, the team's  training camp has moved back to  the club's training ground early to  continue preparations for the game  against Bournemouth." The west Londoners travel to face  Bournemouth on Tuesday, before then  facing Arsenal at the Emirates on August  1 and Tottenham at Stamford Bridge  three days later. Chelsea' first Premier League game  comes at home to Crystal Palace on

  While a striker remains the current priority for Chelsea, they are not closed  off to other potential opportunities. According to  L’Equipe , Chelsea are  keeping an eye on Presnel Kimpembe  at Paris Saint-Germain following the  influx of new arrivals in the French capital. PSG’s recruitment drive has seen Sergio  Ramos join from Real Madrid and his  presence could threaten Kimpembe’s  status in central defence, with captain  Marquinhos a certain pick. Kimpembe is under contract with  PSG until June 2024, is vice-captain  and is attached to his hometown club,  but he could get itchy feet if he finds  himself on the bench frequently. Chelsea took advantage of Thiago  Silva’s situation at PSG to sign him up  on a free transfer last summer and could repeat the trick with Kimpembe in the  future.

  Chelsea's pre-season match  against  Drogheda United in Dublin  has been  called off. The match was set to go ahead on Thursday  22   July ,however the match was now been  cancelled. Early reports suggest that the friendly  has been cancelled due to a Covid  outbreak with a member of staff,  however it is unaware for which club. It is also unaware whether the match  will be rescheduled. The match was supposed to be  the Blues' second friendly of  pre-season as they have travelled  to Ireland for a training camp.  Tuchel's men will then face Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur as part of the  series to raise awareness and funds  for Mental Health charity mind. Chelsea's campaign begins on  August 11 in Belfast against Villarreal  in the Super Cup. Crystal Palace are  their first Premier League opponents  of the 2021/22 campaign - Tuchel  will welcome the Eagles to Stamford  Bridge on August 14. 

  Eden Hazard has already made  it  clear that going back to Chelsea  is 'out  of the question' as he  has been linked  with a return  to Stamford Bridge once  again. The Belgium winger's future at Real  Madrid is up in the air after an injury-hit  two seasons in La Liga where he has  failed to reach the heights he hit in the  Premier League with the Blues. Naturally, a reunion with his former  employers has been speculated after  seven brilliant years at Chelsea with  two league titles to his name. And those rumours have resurfaced  this week as AS report that Hazard has  been offered to Thomas Tuchel's men  as Madrid look to offload the 30-year-old  this summer.
